OctopusⅡ

Once, I said to my friends who lived by the sea, ‘Please write to me and tell me what color the sea is today.’
The sea, in its purity and tranquility, has always calmed my mind. My very first trip in life was to the seaside. I remember running barefoot across the soft, clean sand, feeling the fine grains slip between my toes like flowing water, leaving clear footprints behind me. I would collect shells, starfish, tiny fish and shrimp—each a delicate gift from the ocean—gathering them with childlike wonder. When I grew tired, I sat beside my parents, quietly watching the tide rise and fall, its rhythm eternal and soothing.
Every thought born on the beach is touched with gentleness.
This memory, etched deep in my heart, became the inspiration for my jewelry brooch. I chose jewelry as the medium because it allows intimate storytelling—worn close to the body, it becomes part of one’s personal narrative. The shape of the brooch draws from the elegant form of an octopus, a creature both mysterious and intelligent, often seen gliding through the sea's depths. Designed to be wrapped around the palm, the brooch creates an intimate and tactile connection between the piece and the wearer.
Incorporating pearls into the piece not only pays homage to the ocean’s treasures but also adds a sense of serenity and softness to the design. Pearls, born from time and patience within the sea, embody the quiet magic I once felt as a child on that shore. Through this brooch, I hope to capture a fragment of that peaceful moment—allowing the wearer to carry with them the spirit of the sea, the memories of innocence, and the quiet beauty of nature’s embrace.
