Whispers of the Tentacle
May 2023
Whispers of the Tentacle is a sculptural objet that combines the graceful allure of octopus limbs with the ephemeral glow of candlelight, weaving them into a poetic and fantastical form. The piece envisions each tentacle not merely as a limb but as a living gesture—an elegant hand reaching out, swaying gently with the rhythm of a silent underwater world. Each curve tells a story and each shadow flickers like a whispered secret.
Crafted from sterling silver and adorned with pearls, the piece reflects a contrast between cold metal and the soft luminescence of the sea. The silver tentacles twist and rise like melted candle wax caught mid-motion, forming a surreal object-like shape—evoking both sea creatures and sacred relics. The pearls are captured embers of bioluminescent light, suspended between motion and stillness.
Inspired by deep-sea creatures, this work transforms natural marine forms into a symbol of quiet intimacy and otherworldly romance. It is both eerie and delicate, mysterious and tender—like a dream half-remembered. The tentacles seem to breathe, whisper, and long for something beyond reach.
Whispers of the Tentacle is a tribute to the beauty of the unknown—a place where light and shadow dance eternal longing, and even the deep listens.
